Generated numbers are only mathematically valid and are meant for testing and development. They do not belong to real people and must not be used for fraud.

How the CPF works
The CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas) has 11 digits: the first nine are the base number, the ninth indicates the fiscal region of issue (for example 8 for São Paulo) and the last two are check digits calculated with modulo 11. This generator creates numbers that pass that calculation and the validator checks the digits of any CPF you type.
Everything runs in your browser: no generated or typed number is sent or stored.
How to generate and validate a CPF
-
1
Choose the options
Enter how many CPF numbers you want (1 to 50), pick the issuing state if you need a CPF from a specific region, and choose whether to include punctuation (000.000.000-00).
-
2
Generate and copy
Click "Generate CPF". Use the copy button next to each number or "Copy all" to take the whole list.
-
3
Validate any CPF
In the validation section, type the CPF: the mask is applied automatically and the result tells you instantly whether the check digits match.
How a CPF is built
The Brazilian CPF has 11 digits. The first eight are the registration number, the ninth indicates the fiscal region where it was issued and the last two are check digits. The first check digit is calculated by multiplying the first nine digits by weights from 10 down to 2; the second repeats the calculation with ten digits and weights from 11 down to 2. In both cases the remainder of the division by 11 defines the digit (a remainder of 10 becomes 0).
The fiscal region is the ninth digit: 1 (DF, GO, MS, MT, TO), 2 (AC, AP, AM, PA, RO, RR), 3 (CE, MA, PI), 4 (AL, PB, PE, RN), 5 (BA, SE), 6 (MG), 7 (ES, RJ), 8 (SP), 9 (PR, SC) and 0 (RS).
When to use a generated CPF
Generated CPF numbers pass the mathematical validation but are not tied to any person. They are useful to test forms, sign-ups, APIs and databases without exposing real data. Never use them to open accounts, register on real services or for any fraud: that is a crime.
- Software testing and QA
- Sample data for demos and training
- Filling development databases
- Checking that a CPF validation routine works correctly
CPF generator: frequently asked questions
Does the generated CPF belong to a real person?
No. The numbers are random and only respect the check digit calculation. By coincidence a generated number may exist in the Federal Revenue database, so never use it for real registrations.
How can I tell whether a CPF is valid?
Type the number in the validator on the page. It checks that there are 11 digits, that they are not all equal and that the two check digits match the modulo 11 calculation.
Why is 111.111.111-11 invalid?
Sequences of repeated digits pass the modulo 11 calculation, but the Federal Revenue never issues them, so validators, this one included, reject them.
Can I generate a CPF for a specific state?
Yes. Pick the state and the ninth digit of the CPF will be the one of the matching fiscal region (for example 8 for São Paulo).
Are the generated numbers stored?
No. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is sent to or stored on a server.
