How the comparison works

The tool finds the longest run of lines the two texts have in common and marks everything else: lines only in the changed text are shown in green, lines only in the original in red, and inside modified lines the exact words that changed are highlighted. Use it to review edits to a document, code, configuration files or any list. Nothing is uploaded, the comparison happens on your device.
