Frequently asked questions
What is the Tabata protocol?
Tabata is 20 seconds of all-out work followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated for 8 rounds, which is 4 minutes. Press the Tabata 20/10 preset to load it.
What is EMOM?
EMOM means "every minute on the minute": you start a task at the top of each minute and rest for whatever time is left. Use the EMOM preset, which sets 60 seconds of work with no rest, and change the rounds to the number of minutes.
Will the screen stay on during my workout?
Yes, in browsers that support the Screen Wake Lock API (Chrome, Edge, Safari 16.4 and newer). Keep the Keep screen on option checked. If your browser does not support it, the page tells you and you need to disable auto-lock yourself.
Does it keep correct time when I switch tabs?
The clock is based on elapsed real time, not on counting ticks, so it does not drift. Browsers may delay beeps in a background tab, so keep the page visible for the best result.
