The exact time in your browser

The clock shows your own device's time, with seconds, in the time zone set on it. It keeps running without a connection once the page has loaded and looks great fullscreen on a classroom projector, a TV or a second monitor.

How to use the online clock

  1. 1

    Open the page

The time appears instantly, with seconds, in the time zone set on your computer or phone.

  2. 2

    Choose the format

Switch between 12 hour (AM/PM) and 24 hour time and choose whether to show seconds. Your choice is saved in the browser.

  3. 3

    Go fullscreen

Click Fullscreen to show only the clock, in huge digits on a dark background. Press Esc to leave.

  4. 4

    Check other cities

The world clock strip shows the time in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, London, Mumbai and Sydney, with each UTC offset.

A clock with seconds for classrooms and projectors

In fullscreen the online clock fills the whole screen and can be read from the back of the room. Teachers use it to mark the end of tests and activities, speakers to keep track of time, and teams to keep the time visible on an office TV. The dark background avoids glare in dim rooms.

Because the time comes from your own device, the clock keeps running even if the internet drops after the page has loaded.

Is the time accurate?

The clock shows your device's system time. Computers and phones sync their time over the internet automatically, so the difference is usually well under a second. If the time is wrong, turn on "Set time automatically" in your system's date and time settings.

The time zone under the date is your device's, for example America/New_York (UTC−05:00 in winter, UTC−04:00 during daylight saving time).
