Frequently asked questions
What is a mouse double-click (chatter) problem?
It happens when a worn micro-switch registers two clicks for one press. A human cannot click twice within about 80 ms, so any pair that close is flagged in the log.
What threshold should I use?
The default of 80 ms is a good starting point. Fast clickers can reach 100 ms or less deliberately, so raise or lower the value to match how you click.
How is the polling rate measured?
Move the mouse quickly inside the test area. The page counts pointer events per second. Browsers may cap the number at the screen refresh rate, so treat it as an estimate.
Why do the back and forward buttons not leave the page?
Inside the test area the browser navigation is blocked on purpose, so you can test the side buttons without losing the page.
