How the password generator works
Pick the length and the kinds of characters you want and a new password appears instantly. Every character is drawn with crypto.getRandomValues, the secure random generator built into your browser, and every type you tick is guaranteed to appear.
The strength bar shows the entropy in bits: the longer and more varied the password, the harder it is to guess. Passphrases join several random words, which makes them easier to remember and type. Use a different password for every account and keep them in a password manager.
